Contemporary British Literature Section The contemporary British literature section was opened at Novosibirsk Regional Universal Research Library in 2007 after the British Council had donated the Library a big part of its collection. The British section current holdings amount to 1656 volumes and they are mostly the works of modern British writers such as Tony Parsons, Graham Swift, Kazuo Ishiguro, Stella Duffy, Irvine Welsh, and many others. The room offers fiction in different genres ranging from poetry to drama. The section also has a lot of English study and teaching materials. The most popular among them are British test manuals such as KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC, and IELTS. Patrons are welcome to check books out or use them on the premises.
